Second Russian Congress on Organ Donation and Transplantation

Dear Colleagues,

We are honored to invite you to participate in the Second Russian Congress on Organ Donation and Transplantation to be held June 8-10, 2015 at the V.I. Shumakov Federal Research Center of Transplantology and Artificial Organs.

Organ donation and transplantation is a challenging area of modern medicine, drawing much public attention and facing diverse problems, ranging from medical to management and ethical ones.

The Congress is aimed at joining efforts of the society, authorities, clinicians and scientists to save lives of patients, deemed incurable.

Russian and foreign leading experts in clinical medicine and biomedical sciences, as well as public health officials, government representatives, members of political parties and nonprofit organizationswill take part in this event.

The Congress will be held to commemorate such memorable dates in the Russian history of organ transplant surgery as the 50th anniversary of the first kidney transplant and the 25th anniversary of the first liver transplant. The program includes:

  • the Fifth National Conference «Donor organs: the key challenge in transplantation»;
  • the Fifth V.I. Shumakov Conference;
  • the Second Russian Educational Forum;
  • the Fifth Conference «Scientific schools and new names».
